Self-Defense for Beginners

This class focuses on techniques that give smaller individuals a way to defend against larger sized attackers. Students will learn how to leverage attackers’ weight against them. With practice, each student will gain confidence on how to leverage their body and voice to control a situation and escape safely. Safety is our number one concern, our instructors will lead group simulated situational drills to teach students how to defend against attackers in a verbal and physical setting. The self-defense techniques taught in this class originate from Brazilian jiu-jitsu and muay Thai fundamentals.

Classes Times: Once a month, Sunday from 11 am to 12 pm

Fitness and Self-Defense

If you want to take your fitness to the next level while still learning a skill, this is the class for you. The class teaches students how to prepare for stand-up fighting involving kicks, punches, and various body shots. Students will also learn a variety of moves such as escaping being pinned to the ground and a variety of submissions. With simulated situations, women will learn how to protect themselves and others from being physically or verbally attacked. Enjoy a fun cardio, mobility, and strength training exercise! Learn from our group of strong women who are friendly and willing to share their wealth of knowledge and experience.
